OEE & machine-monitoring retrofit

Stop guessing OEE on a whiteboard. A Pi node measures availability, performance and quality automatically.

SHORT ANSWER

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) multiplies availability, performance and quality — and most lines estimate it by hand. A Pi node taps machine signals to measure all three automatically: uptime and stoppages, cycle rate versus ideal, and good-versus-scrap counts. The result is measured, trustworthy OEE and the data to actually improve it.

01Measure, don't estimate

The node detects stoppages and their reasons, compares actual cycle time to ideal, and counts good versus rejected parts — the three OEE factors — from the machine's own signals. No clipboards, no end-of-shift guesswork.

02From metric to improvement

Measured OEE plus reason-coded downtime shows where the losses actually are, so improvement work targets the real bottleneck instead of the loudest complaint.

Common questions

The ones we're asked on every first call.

Run/stop state and stoppage reasons, a cycle or part signal, and a good/reject indication. Most machines already expose these over their PLC or sensors — the Pi node just reads and times them.
